    Announcements

New Member Gatherings -- Interested in Joining Faith Lutheran Church? Please join us in the Fellowship Hall starting today: April 28th, and again on May 5th and May 12th, after the second worship service (about 12:15 p.m.), to learn more about Faith Lutheran and your fellow "joiners."  (A light lunch will be provided).  New members will be received at both services on Pentecost, May 19th.  Please feel free to contact Susan Meier: 410-913-4187, if you want to join!  Jill Drees or Pastor Greg can also help answer your questions: (410) 683-3136.

“Faith Unlimited” Rocked at Arnolia UMC! -- “FUNLIM” participated in a benefit concert at Arnolia UMC last Saturday for “The 2nd Annual Arnolia Benefit Concert!” Other area bands were also featured, including Aronolia’s band “Rejuvenate” for which the benefit concert was held. We wish to thank all who came out to support in support of Faith Unlimited and this benefit concert!  And thank you to Sid Meier for his hard work to get FUNLIM  ready for this event!

Cinco de Mayo! – Won’t be long now before Rick and Kim Bray host us at their place next Saturday, for a Mexican extravaganza that we like to call “Cinco de Mayo,” although it falls this year on ‘Quatro de Mayo’ (May 4th). But have no fear! The spirit of the festival will ensue, including…margaritas deliciosas! The party gets started at 5:30 p.m.

“Change for Chicks!” – The final tally is still coming together! Last Sunday, the kids classroom was busy counting a big bag of change, donated by members and friends of Faith. The proceeds will benefit a community who will receive our donation of chicks through the charitable ministry of Heifer International. The Sunday School class has been learning world hunger and helping those who are in need.

    Announcements

We Welcome Pastor Jason Burns! – Faith Lutheran is happy to welcome Pastor Jason as our Visiting Pastor today while Pastor Greg is away for the weekend at the “Unlikely Leaders” youth event at Mar-Lu-Ridge. Thank you, Pastor Jason, for leading us in worship today!

“Thank You’s” are in Order for… – All those involved with Fun & Fellowship who helped plan and host Saturday’s “Movie Night.” It was loads of fun! We enjoyed hot dogs, popcorn and hand-crafted ice cream sundaes…and, oh yeah, the movie…”Fly Away Home” was awesome, too! Keep reading to learn of our next exciting event…!

Cinco de Mayo! – Won’t be long before Rick and Kim Bray host us at their place for a Mexican extravaganza that we like to call “Cinco de Mayo” although it falls this year on Quatro de Mayo. But have no fear, the spirit of the festivities will ensue, including…margaritas deliciosas! The party gets started at 5:30 p.m.

“Change for Chicks!” – Thank you to everyone who lent a hand to this project during Lent! (pun intended). Thanks to your generosity the “Change for Chicks!”  project gathered enough funds for a number of flocks of chicks! (We will post the exact totals in next week’s Faith Notes). Thank you, also, to teachers Patty Mowell and Denise Wilson for heading up this project with Faith’s Sunday School kids from ages K-5th grades. The kids learned about the Heifer International gifts of animals to families in need during their lessons on world hunger.
