New Member Gatherings -- Interested in Joining Faith Lutheran Church? Please join us in the Fellowship Hall today: May 12th, after the second worship service (about 12:15 p.m.), to learn more about Faith Lutheran and your fellow "joiners." Jill Drees and Pastor Greg can also help answer your questions at the church office: (410) 683-3136.
$421.18 for “Change for Chicks!” – The final tally is now in: $421.18! The kids helped to count a big bag of change, donated by members and friends of Faith that amounted to $200. And the remainder was contributed by other forms through the weekly giving. The proceeds will benefit a communities around the world who will receive our donation of chicks through the charitable ministry of Heifer International. The Sunday School class uses their Spring Project to enhance their learning about world hunger and helping those who are in need.

Sarah’s Hope Lunches – Thank you to all who came to Faith yesterday to help make lunches for Sarah’s Hope! This ministry meets every month, on the second Saturday of the month, at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall to make sandwiches for the homeless. Derald Jendersee helps to coordinate this ministry, and Bob Schott helps to purchase all the lunch making supplies. We are always looking for a few more helping hands to come out on a Saturday morning to help us pack up about 70 lunches. We are also need of drivers to deliver the meals to the women’s and children’s shelter in Baltimore. Please ask Derald for more details. Thank you!
Faith’s New “Travel Club” – Do you like to travel? A new Disciple Group is forming based on our love of fellowship and travel--a winning combination! Our first informational meeting was held last Sunday, May 5, after the second service! Questions, please ask Judy Weber.
Next Sunday is Pentecost! – Red Geraniums will be on display to beautify the altar during our worship services! However, after the conclusion of the 2nd service, you are welcomed to collect your purchased geraniums to take home with you and enjoy! Thank you for your support.

The Prayers for the Week of May 12, 2013:
O Holy Companion, may your presence in our lives inspire us to joyful worship. In the name of the living Lord Jesus. Amen.
Please note that privacy restrictions require you to have the personal approval of anyone whose name you request to be included on the prayer list. When you add a name you assume the responsibility for that person’s approval which is why you must include your name on the Yellow Sheet. Because we believe that it is a privilege to lift up the needs of others in prayer, today and this week, we pray for those listed below. All names on the list will be prayed for over the next four weeks, unless otherwise notified. If you want someone to remain on the list beyond that time, please fill out another “Yellow Sheet.” We appreciate your help in making our efforts more efficient and remind you that the Lord not only commands us to pray, but also promises to hear us.
